Everett was drafted in December 1943. After his initial training Everett was sent to Europe and was transferred from the replacement depot to L Company 116th Infantry on 26 Jul 1944. PVT Kimbrell was killed in action on 1 Sep 1944.
PVT was repatriated in 1948 and rests forever in Marietta National Cemetery in Marietta, Georgia.
Everett's younger brother, Plumer Sanford Kimbrell, was drafted and served from January 1945 through 1947.
