PVT Charles William Puckett

PVT Charles William Puckett was born 26 Oct 1925 in Rowan County, Kentucky. He was the 7th of 10 children of Martin L. and Lula Belle (DeHart) Puckett. The family farmed in Rowan county.

Charles was drafted in August 1943. After his basic military training he was sent to the European theater. He was transferred from the replacement depot to A Company 116th Infantry on 16 Jun 1944. PVT Puckett was wounded on 12 Jul 1944 in the vicinity of Saint-Lo, France and he was evacuated to hospital where he died on 13 Jul 1944.

PVT Puckett was repatriated and re-interred in Hogtown Cemetery in Rowan County, Kentucky.
