PVT Leandro Rodriguez Juarez

PVT Leandro Rodriguez Juarez was born 13 Mar 1925 in Alpine, Texas to Jose Ramirez and Felicita (Rodriguez) Juarez.  His father worked as a laborer and as a miner in a silver mine.  Jose reported a 1939 income of $780.

Leandro entered service with the army in July 1943.  Sent to Europe he was transferred from the replacement depot to A Company 116th Infantry on 5 Jul 1944.  He was wounded soon after and PVT Juarez died of his wound(s) on 13 Jul 1944.

PVT Juarez was repatriated in 1948 and is buried in the Elm Grove Cemetery in Alpine, Texas.
