PVT Patrick Murphy Cunningham

PVT Patrick Murphy Cunningham was born 15 Oct 1919. 5th of 8 children of Purdy Mayo and Clara Belle (Murphy) Cunningham in Smith, Missouri.  His brother Wynn Mayo Cunningham also served in the Army during the war. 

Patrick was assigned to C Company 116th Infantry on D-Day.  He was killed in action on 1 Jul 1944. 

PVT Cunningham is buried in the Normandy American Cemetery.
