PVT Raymond J. Boerner was born 9 Oct 1925 in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania to Benjamin Harrison and Mary (Horgan) Boerner. His father was a machinist. Raymond's mother died in 1937, his father moved to Philadelphia with his older brothers and in 1940 he was living with his sister, Mary, and her husband and daughter.
Raymond entered the service in March 1943. Sent overseas and assigned from the replacement depot to B Company 116th Infantry on 16 Jun 1944, PVT Boerner was killed in action on 12 Jul 1944.
PVT Boerner is buried in the Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Cheltenham, Pennsylvania.
