PFC Charles Goshy
PFC
Charles Goshy, b. 31 Dec 1924 - d. 25 Aug 1944. Son of Michael and
Mary (Gavason) Goshy of Northumberland, Pennsylvania. His brother, Mitchell, also
served. His parents were immigrants from Austria. Drafted in November
1944, Charles was assigned to K Company 116th Infantry, wounded, and
returned from the replacement depot to L Company 116th Infantry. He now
rests in Riverview Cemetery, Northumberland, Pennsylvania. This photo comes from
his high school annual.
