PFC Dale Chester Johnson

PFC Dale Chester Johnson was born 1 May 1923 in Stalwart, Michigan one of 11 children of Everett Tripp and Katharine Anne (Crawford) Johnson.  The family farmed. 

Dale had completed high school and was working as a driver when he was drafted in March 1943.  Sent to Europe he reported to E Company from the replacement depot on 19 Jun 1944.  PFC Johnson was killed in action on 12 Jul 1944.

PFC Johnson was repatriated and is buried at Oaklawn Chapel Gardens in Sault Sainte Marie, Michigan.
