PFC Glenn Ellsworth Cooper

PFC Glenn Ellsworth Cooper was born 31 Oct 1912 in Jackson Center, Pennsylvania to Stanley Augustus and Laura Irene (Hodge) Cooper.  His father was a coal miner and worked in road construction.

Glenn went into service in May 1942.  Sent overseas, he was assigned to I Company 116th Infantry and landed with that unit on 6 Jun 1944 on Omaha Beach.  PFC Cooper was killed in action on 15 Jul 1944. 

PFC Cooper is buried in Oak Hill Cemetery in Sandy Lake, Pennsylvania.
