Homer was drafted in January 1944. He was sent to the European theater and arrived in England on 9 Jun 1944. It wasn't until 16 Jul 1944 that he was transferred from the replacement depot to B Company 116th Infantry. He was killed in action on that same day.
PVT Reimer now rests forever in the Normandy American Cemetery.
